Toastmaster Leadership Institute — District 50 Winter 2008 Last Chance TLI

With four of our Big 'D' Toastmasters officers already trained, Saturday found Eric Dyson (VP Ed), Hut Carspecken (VP Membership) and Paul Carter (President) at the Custer Road United Methodist Church for Officer Training. The District 50 records now show 100% training for our officers, once again.

We were reminded of what our different jobs entail and how to make a stronger weekly meeting. I found out that to be an "official" Toastmasters club, only three things are required;

1) Must have 12 meetings during the year,
2) Must have prepared speeches, and,
3) Must have verbal evaluations.

Everything else is the icingon the cake! Big 'D' does everything else (which makes it such a great experience) but I didn't realize what exactly is required to make a club an official club. This is my third TLI over the past year and a half and I learn something new every time.
