Park City Club with Dallas Skyline view ...

Big D Toastmasters Club held its annual Christmas Party and Installation of Officers on Thursday, December 20th, at the Park City Club in Highland Park. Located on the 17th floor with a dazzling view of the downtown Dallas skyline, the setting was remarkable.

With traffic jams and general travel problems throughout the city, the Installation of Officers started a little late. The out going officers were recognized for their faithful service over the past six months and released from their official obligations and then the Officers for January through June, 2008, were presented and installed;

 POSITION         OUTGOING OFFICER            NEW OFFICER
 President   Paul Carter    Paul Carter
 VP Education   Eric Dyson    Eric Dyson
 VP Membership   Hut Carspecken    Hut Carspecken
 VP Public Relations   Bryan Daigle    Katherine Gean
 Secretary   Angelo Periero    Kumar Parthasarathy
Treasurer Katherine Gean Renita Boykin
Sergeant-at-Arms Kathy Tolar John Lawson

Our committee that put this all together was composed of John Sessions, Katherine Gean and Terri Porthier and they did a fantastic job! With the club subsidizing a substantial portion of the cost, Big D members and their guests were able to enjoy the "Best of the Best" at an extremely reasonable price.

John Sessions engaged a string quartet to entertain while we enjoyed the food and the view. This is one place that I would certainly say we must return to. We had a good turnout, met new friends, and hated to leave.
