We had a great time at Times Ten Cellars in Lakewood on Thursday evening. Danni Babik officiated over the installation of the new officers for the second half of 2007. They are;

Paul Carter- President
Eric Dyson- VP Education
Hut Carspecken- VP Membership
Bryan Daigle- VP Public Relations
Angelo Pereira- Secretary
Katherine Gean- Treasurer
Kathy Toler- Sergeant at Arms

Next, we enjoyed the locally made wine and had a great meal from Celebration Station. We had 30-35 people in attendance and a lot of the "locals" at Times Ten poked their heads in and asked questions about the Big D! Toastmasters club.

Officially, the new officers will take on their respective assignments at the first meeting of July which should be July 5th. However, since that is so close to the 4th of July holiday, our first meeting in July will be on the 12th.

But ... we meet this coming Thursday evening (June 21st) back at our old stomping grounds, the Double Tree on North Central Expressway. With totally remodeled facilities, we should be rocking Thursday night. There are a few members who are knocking out their last speeches in the next couple of weeks so we can continue to work on our Distinguished Club Award.

If you are reading this blog for the first time ... Welcome! You have come to this web site via a number of ways; the most common is that you Googled us (or used Ask, MSN, Yahoo, or another search engine), stumbled upon us via a link from another web site, or one of our members gave you this web address. No matter how you arrived, take a minute, look around, and see if you just might be interested in coming as a guest to one of our weekly meetings.

We have fun, you can order supper and eat during the meeting, and I guarantee that you will have a great time. Just show up and you will be greeted warmly by a number of people. Enjoy the speeches ... enjoy the lively company ... and you just might become a part of the best Toastmaster club in North Texas ... The Big D! Toastmasters Club.
